To maintain a trusted marketplace for buyers and sellers, we need to verify the information that you provided during registration. Here, you can find information on the Ovoko seller identity verification process and the documents that you have to provide to create and verify your selling via Ovoko wallet.
Document submission
- Before submitting relevant documentation to activate your Ovoko wallet, you must sign in to your SaaS account and review the information you provided during the registrations process.
- You will have to confirm your details under Home tab on the pop notification. Click Start Verification, and upload the required documents as per the instructions.
- The Verification page will display customised options based on your business type and country in which your business is located or where you reside.
NOTE: Generally, you'll only need to provide your identity information to us. Our payment provider will then work to collect any additional details required by government authorities directly. This means less hassle for you!
Document requirements
Ovoko payment partner, Mangopay, will need to verify the identity of the legal representative or beneficial owner registering the Ovoko wallet.
The person registering the account, also known as primary contact person, will need to provide two documents - an identity document and an additional document(s) about your business.
In order to your identity, please provide:
- Identity document - a government issued photo identity document that is used to confirm one’s identity, such as passport, national ID, driving license or residence permit. This document must match the proof of identity information provided during the registration.
- Business licenses: We require a document that proves that your business is valid, such as a business registration proof, and articles of association (if applicable).
In order to ensure that your documents are not rejected, make sure that they meet the following requirements:
- Be valid (not expired, revoked, inactive or closed).
- Be high resolution and unobstructed (clear, readable, visible and in focus).
- Be complete and not cut off from any sides (not angled or cropped).
- Be a scanned image or photo of the original document taken from your mobile device’s camera.
- Display the full document (front and back, if applicable).
- Size: the pages sent must not exceed 7MB and the ID proof should be at least 32Kb.
- Be in one of these formats: PDF, PJEG, PJG, and PNG.
- Be authentic and unaltered.
For detailed document requirements, check the country as per the business location that you selected.
- If your business location is Lithuania;
- If your business location is Poland;
- If your business location is Latvia;
- If your business location is Estonia;
- If your business location is France;
- If your business location is Spain;
- If your business location is Italy;
- If your business location is Romania;
- If your business location is Germany;
If your business location (country) is not mentioned above, submit your documents as per below guidelines:
Identity document: We accept ID documents such as passport, national identity card, driving license, or residence card.
Make sure that your identity document meets the document requirements and following criteria:
- Must be a government-issued photo identity document which is recognised and issued by the country where you are a citizen or resident.
- Must show first and last name. The name must match the name entered during the registration.
- Must include the date of birth. The date entered must be an exact match as we do not accept typos.
- Must show the unique ID number.
- Have an expiry date (if applicable).
- Have the bearer’s signature (if applicable).
- Must provide both sides of the ID if there is any vital information at the back of the ID like: signature, date of expiry, date of birth or barcodes.
Note: If the upload page does not ask for separate front and back image uploads, make sure that you merge the images into one file to upload.
- Must be a colour copy.
Business verification document: We require a document which is a government issued statement displaying information on your business. This document must match the business information entered about the business during registration. We require the following documents that proves your business is valid.
Make sure that your document meets the following criteria. A valid business document is issued by government authorised body. A business document must contain the following information:
- Name or Logo of the provider/Authority. The document must show the issuing authority.
- Name of the Business: Must contain the name of the business/Entity.
- Licence number: The document must contain business licence or commercial registration number.
- Date of issue and if the document contains validity/expiry date, make sure the document is not expired (recommended).
What to expect after you’ve uploaded your document?
Once you have uploaded all necessary documents and information, SaaS page will display a confirmation message. You can close the tab in your browser and our payment partner will review your information and may contact you for further clarification, if needed, within two working days.
When You Might Need to Upload Documents
In some cases, our payment provider may be unable to retrieve all necessary information on their own. If this happens, you'll be notified and asked to upload specific documents yourself through your seller account. In this case, payment provider accepts documents in certain languages.
To avoid delays, please ensure any documents you upload are in one of the following languages:
- English
- French
- German
- Dutch
- Spanish
- Italian
- Portuguese
If your document is in another language, you'll need to provide an official translation into English or French.
