Poor Packing Practices at the Consolidation Center
We are observing a significant problem at our consolidation center: sellers are packing bulky items such as car bumpers, car doors, and other large automotive parts improperly. Many are using inadequate cushioning materials that are essentially garbage, including foam rubber from car seats, old carpets, and even used clothing. Almost 60% of packages have to be repacked because of that.
Packaging Standards: What Sellers Must Follow
To ensure the safety and efficiency of our logistics, all sellers must adhere to the following packaging guidelines:

|
|
Consequences of Non-Compliance
Failure to follow these packaging requirements will result in penalties as outlined in our platform’s rules:
- First Violation: A fine of EUR 50.
- Second Violation: A fine of EUR 100.
- Third Violation: A fine of EUR 200.
- Fourth Violation: Blocking of the seller’s products on the website for 7 days.
- Fifth Violation: The platform reserves the right to unilaterally terminate the agreement with the seller, with three (3) business days' notice.
The Importance of Proper Packaging
Using inadequate packaging not only results in fines but also affects the reputation of sellers, leading to dissatisfied customers and potential account suspension. Proper packaging ensures:
- Safe transit and delivery of bulky items without damage
- Compliance with logistics requirements, avoiding additional fees
- Better customer satisfaction, reducing return rates and complaints
All sellers must comply with these packaging rules to avoid penalties and ensure smooth operations within logistics network. By following these guidelines, we can maintain a high standard of service, reduce damage claims, and create a more efficient shipping process for everyone involved.

Packaging tips
1. Clean and inspect parts.
Remove any excess dirt, grease or fluid.
Check for loose or fragile components that may need additional protection.
2. Select a suitable box.
Use sturdy, appropriately sized boxes for heavy items. For additional security, wrap the box with strech film and tape the end of the strech film to prevent it from coming loose or getting caught in the depot conveyor.
Avoid oversized boxes, which will cause too much movement and damage to the goods. The goods should have 2 cm of clearance from each chest of the box, which should be filled with packing filler "corn" or bubble wrap.
3. Use appropriate padding
Wrap the parts in bubble wrap. Use airbags, corn packing filler or foam inserts to prevent movement. Double wrap sharp or delicate parts to avoid puncturing the box.4. Fixing heavy or irregularly shaped items
Engines, gearboxes, should be strapped to the pallet and all liquids drained before shipment. Use strong pallets to prevent breakage during transport.
5. Tighten the stretch film
In many cases we see that the stretch wrap is not tensioned, so the film unwinds during transport.
The stretch film needs to be tensioned, and depending on the type of stretch film, we always recommend sealing the torn end to prevent the film from coming loose.
6. Take care of more than just your parcels
Remember that your parcels are transported with those of other companies/individuals, so think about the possibility of your parcel damaging other parcels. If your parcel has sharp corners, make sure to protect them from damaging other parcels.
As well the item may contain liquid, so make sure that the liquid is drained from the item, as it may leak out of your item during transport and damage other items, which may be worth a lot of money, and you will have to pay for the damage.
