FAQ:
-
Why do we need to change how we calculate overdue dispatch?
Now the calculation is based on rolling 24 hour calculation. And we want to move away from that because it’s a very specific calculation where you need to think what is considered overdue, what is considered same day dispatch. We are focusing on the customer and the perspective the customer has. Customer thinks in simple terms - If I order today, latest I expect my order to be dispatched is the next working day. This new logic is reflecting the buyer perspective. -
Why do we measure overdue dispatches in the first place?
When buyers receive their orders in the promised time window, they are likely to come back and buy again. So in simple terms - same day and on time dispatches increase buyer retention. -
Why is customer retention important?
Retained buyers generate more orders over time, boosting sales for both Ovoko and sellers - you. Everyone benefits. -
On Monday I have a lot of orders that were placed over the weekend, how am I expected to pack everything on Monday so that orders wouldn’t count as overdue?
We have 10% tolerance for overdue shipments. It’s way higher than the alternative sales channels. It’s your responsibility to dispatch shipments on time if you want to keep the top seller badge, which is liked by our customers. -
Bulky items take too long to pack—how does this affect my overdue dispatch rate?
Bulky items should still be shipped as quickly as possible. In case you have trouble packing bulky - we would recommend purchasing tools and boxes from ovokopack.com . They truly save a lot of time when packing bumpers, doors, trunks, hoods and other large parts and protect them during the transportation. -
What if couriers come too early for me to pack?
We work with shipping providers to ensure late pickups. If couriers need to come later, contact us, and we’ll try to adjust their schedule. -
What if couriers don’t come, even after being called?
On such days, consider delivering packages to the nearest parcel locker or terminal. Inform us by email so we can investigate and address the issue with the shipping provider and not calculate them into your statistics at the end of the month.
We’re here to support you as we implement these changes gradually. Thank you for helping make Ovoko the go-to marketplace for buyers and sellers alike!
Best regards,
The Ovoko Team
