When a sale is completed, funds land in your pending balance and Ovoko deducts fees automatically from there. You can see the full breakdown by clicking on any transaction in your Finance page.
How your earnings are calculated
Buyer paid — the total amount the buyer paid, including VAT:
Parts — the total price for all items in the order, including VAT
Shipping — the delivery cost paid by the buyer, including VAT
Ovoko deducted — the amount deducted from what the buyer paid:
Ovoko fees — your success fee and transaction fee, including VAT
Shipping — Ovoko manages the shipping service and deducts the same shipping amount (excluding VAT) that the buyer paid
You earned — what's left after deductions. This is the amount that lands in your pending balance.
What makes up Ovoko fees
Success fee — Ovoko's commission for selling your parts on the platform, charged on the parts amount excluding VAT. The standard rate is 10%. Sellers with Below Standard status are charged 15%.
- Transaction fee — 2.2% charged on each order to cover the cost of processing the buyer's payment through our payment partner.
VAT on fees — VAT applied to the success fee and transaction fee based on your tax status and the buyer's tax status.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are fees charged on refunds? If a buyer returns an item, the success fee and shipping fee are returned to you. The transaction fee is not refunded — it covers payment processing costs that have already been incurred.
Why did I receive less than the shipping amount the buyer paid? You may notice that the shipping amount collected from the buyer and the amount deducted from your wallet are slightly different. This happens because VAT is calculated based on both your tax status and the buyer's tax status. This does not mean you lose money or earn extra — the difference is only related to VAT rules and balances out when you submit your VAT declaration. Example: The buyer pays €20.21 in shipping. You may see €19.48 deducted in your wallet. The difference is due to VAT calculation and will be reconciled through your VAT reporting.
