Before you can receive earnings in your wallet and withdraw funds, you need to complete three steps. Each step unlocks the next. You only need to do this once.
Step 1 — Submit your business details
Step 2 — Authorize Ovoko to manage your wallet
Step 3 — Confirm your identity
Step 1 — Submit your business details
This step creates your wallet account with Mangopay, our licensed payment partner.
You'll need to provide:
Legal entity type (registered business or sole trader)
Registered business name
Company registration number (businesses only)
Registered address
Legal representative details: name, surname, nationality, country of residence, date of birth
Accounting contact: email address and phone number
You'll also need to accept Mangopay's Terms and Conditions.
Important to know:
This step must be completed by the company owner or legal representative. Accepting Mangopay's Terms and Conditions on someone else's behalf is not permitted.
The information you provide is stored by Mangopay for regulatory compliance purposes. If you have questions about your data or wish to exercise your privacy rights, contact Mangopay's Data Protection Officer at dpo.mangopay@mangopay.com.
To get started, log in to your Ovoko account and go to Finance.
Step 2 — Authorize Ovoko to manage your wallet
Once your wallet account is created, you need to authorize Ovoko to manage it through Mangopay. This allows Ovoko to collect earnings, apply fees, and process refunds on your behalf.
In your Finance page, you'll see a message asking you to complete authorization. Click Authorize now. You'll be redirected to a secure Mangopay page where you'll:
Confirm your email address
Set a 6-digit PIN (used for future wallet actions)
Add your phone number
Look for "Powered by Mangopay" at the bottom of the page — this redirect is expected and secure.
Important to know: Until this step is complete, your earnings will be collected but funds will remain in your pending balance and cannot move to your available balance or be withdrawn.
Step 3 — Confirm your identity
The final step verifies your business and identity documents. This is required by European financial regulations to prevent money laundering and fraud. Mangopay, our licensed payment partner, carries out the verification on our behalf.
In your Finance page, you'll see a message asking you to confirm your identity. Click Start verification. You'll be redirected to Mangopay to complete the process.
What documents you'll need
You'll need to provide two types of documents:
Identity document — a government-issued photo ID for the legal representative. Accepted documents: passport, national ID card, driving license, or residence permit.
Your identity document must:
Match the name entered during registration
Include date of birth (exact match)
Show a unique ID number
Not be expired
Be provided front and back if there is information on both sides
Be a colour copy
Business document — a government-issued document proving your business is valid, such as a business registration certificate or articles of association.
Your business document must:
Show the name of the issuing authority
Include the registered business name
Include the business license or registration number
Not be expired
Document requirements for all uploads:
High resolution, clear, and fully visible — not cropped or angled
Scanned image or photo taken with a mobile camera
Maximum 7MB per file, minimum 32KB for ID documents
Accepted formats: PDF, JPEG, JPG, PNG
Not altered or edited
If your document is not in English, French, German, Dutch, Spanish, Italian, or Portuguese, you'll need to provide an official translation into English or French.
For detailed document requirements based on your country and business type, see our Identity and document requirements article.
After submitting your documents, you'll see one of these statuses:
In progress — Mangopay is reviewing your documents. No action needed. You'll be notified when it's done.
Unsuccessful — Mangopay was unable to verify your details. Review the reason shown and try again.
Confirmed — Your identity is confirmed. The withdrawal button in your Finance page will become active once your wallet goes live for your market.
Important to know: Withdrawals remain disabled until both this step is complete and a bank account is linked to your wallet. Bank accounts are added by the Ovoko team — contact your Account Manager to request this. Note that bank account updates are processed weekly, so allow a few days for changes to take effect.
What happens if I don't complete a step?
Step |
What happens |
|---|---|
Step 1 not completed |
No wallet is created. Earnings are held by Mangopay until setup is complete. |
Step 2 not completed |
Earnings are collected into your pending balance but cannot move to available or be withdrawn. |
Step 3 not completed |
Withdrawals remain disabled even after your wallet goes live. |
Can my Account Manager complete the setup for me? No. The setup form and Mangopay authorization must be completed by the company owner or legal representative. Accepting Mangopay's Terms and Conditions on someone else's behalf is not permitted.
I submitted my details but my wallet isn't showing — what should I do? Try refreshing the page. If the issue continues, contact your Account Manager or submit a support request.
I completed all three steps but nothing has changed — is that normal? Yes, if your market hasn't gone live yet. Your wallet will activate when the new payments system launches for your market. You'll receive a notification when that happens.
When will I be able to withdraw my first earnings? Once all three setup steps are complete and your wallet goes live for your market, your earnings will start moving from pending to available 8 days after each purchase. Once funds are in your available balance, you can withdraw them at any time.
I ran into a technical issue — what should I do? Try refreshing and starting again from the Finance page. If the issue continues, contact your Account Manager or submit a support request.
I changed my company registration — do I need to redo verification? Yes. If your company registration changes, you will need to complete the verification process again with your updated business details. Contact your Account Manager to get this started.
I am self-employed — how do I register? Self-employed sellers (sole traders) follow the same setup process. When completing Step 1, select Sole trader as your legal entity type. The documents required for verification differ from registered businesses — see our Identity and document requirements article for details specific to your country.
Will my earnings from before the wallet launched appear in my wallet? No. Earnings from sales made before your wallets went live are settled through the previous payout process. Your wallets only show earnings from your go-live date onwards.
My bank account hasn't been linked yet — what should I do? Bank accounts are linked by the Ovoko team based on the details already on file. The process takes a few days. If your bank account has not been linked after several days, contact your Account Manager or submit a support request.
