How will it work?
We have partnered with Cover Genius, a global warranty and insurance solutions provider, to introduce a 1-year warranty on eligible car parts sold on the Ovoko/RRR platform that will cover for mechanical or electrical failure occurring after purchase.
The warranty is provided by Ovoko/RRR, and all associated warranty costs are fully covered by us. There is no cost for eligible sellers.
How does it benefit you?
At launch, the 1-year warranty will apply to eligible parts sold by sellers meeting Top Seller requirements only.
If you meet Top Seller requirements, your eligible parts will be covered by the Ovoko/RRR 1-Year Warranty after the standard 14-day return window expires. Coverage will apply for one year from the date of sale.
In the event of a warranty claim, our partner will:
- Handle all buyer communication,
- Assess and decide on claims,
- Manage claim fulfillment.
You will not need to handle warranty related buyer communication or faulty part returns under this program - these will be managed and covered by Ovoko/RRR and our partner.
In short: more trust, fewer disputes, more sales.
Which parts are eligible?
Most parts will be covered, except for:
- Wear and tear parts (e.g. filters, brake discs and pads, timing belts, tires etc.),
- Parts sold with defects,
- Not yet dismantled parts,
- Certain specifically excluded categories (e.g. glass, airbags, seatbelts, etc.).
Eligible parts will display a dedicated warranty badge in the Ovoko/RRR marketplace, visible to buyers. The full warranty policy wording is available here.
Launch timeline
Planned launch: late April, 2026
The first few weeks will be a controlled test phase - a selected group of buyers will see the warranty badge and receive warranty coverage for eligible parts they purchased. After the test, the warranty will be rolled out to all buyers.
If you meet Top Seller requirements, your eligible parts will automatically be included. No action is required from your side.
How does this work with existing return and warranty rules?
Nothing changes regarding your current obligations:
- 14-day return window - remains exactly the same (you are still required to accept the items returned in this time window).
- Your own seller warranty (if applicable) - you continue managing it independently.
- EU legal guarantee of conformity - statutory obligations remain unchanged and are managed by you as required by law.
However, buyers of Ovoko/RRR warranted parts will receive dedicated warranty documentation and claim instructions, meaning many after-sales issues after the 14-day return window will be handled directly by Ovoko/RRR and our partner, reducing your administrative burden and disputes.
Ovoko/RRR and its partners reserve the right to recover claim payments through legal means in cases of detected fraud related to the Ovoko/RRR provided warranty.

FAQ
Q: Do I need to sign anything or change my listings for my sold parts to be covered by Ovoko/RRR warranty?
A: No. If you meet Top Seller requirements, eligible parts will automatically be covered.
Q: Does this cost me anything?
A: No. The 1-Year Warranty is fully funded by Ovoko/RRR.
Q: What happens if a buyer contacts me directly about an Ovoko/RRR warranty claim?
A: You may direct them to Ovoko/RRR support or to Cover Genius.
Q: Can non Top Sellers participate?
A: At the moment, the program is limited to sellers meeting Top Seller requirements. We may expand eligibility in the future, in which case we will inform you.
Q: Can I or a buyer purchase the Ovoko/RRR warranty separately for a part?
A: No. At this stage, the 1-Year Warranty cannot be purchased separately. The warranty is automatically included only for eligible parts sold by sellers meeting Top Seller requirements and is not available as an optional add-on for sellers or buyers.
Q: What happens with the warranty if I lose Top Seller status? What happens if I regain Top Seller status?
A: At this stage, the 1-Year Warranty is directly linked to meeting Top Seller requirements. Your eligible parts will display the 1-year warranty badge as long as you meet Top Seller requirements. If Top Seller status is lost for any reason, the warranty badge will be removed from your active listings. If you later regain Top Seller status, the warranty will be reinstated for your eligible parts currently in stock. Please note, there might be some delays. Importantly, any parts that were already sold with the 1-Year Warranty remain covered in accordance with the applicable warranty terms and conditions. Changes in Top Seller status only affect listings that are active and available for purchase, and do not impact completed orders.
Q: What happens if a claim is approved - will it affect my seller rating or performance metrics?
A: At the moment, the 1-Year Warranty is being tested with a limited group of sellers and eligible parts. While claims may occur, they will not affect your Top Seller status or any performance metrics at this stage. However, Ovoko/RRR keeps the right to remove warranty on your parts at any time at its discretion without any prior notice. Ovoko/RRR will also closely monitor all the claims, and if it notices potential warranty policies' abusive behaviour, act on it at its discretion without any prior notice.
Q: What if the claim is clearly caused by incorrect installation?
A: Such cases will be assessed by our partner during the claims process. If the issue is determined to result from incorrect installation or misuse, or any other reason not covered by warranty, the claim will be declined in accordance with the warranty terms.
Q: Will I be informed when a claim is opened regarding my part?
A: During the initial launch phase, claims will be managed directly by Ovoko/RRR and our partner to ensure a smooth process for buyers. Where relevant for quality monitoring or investigation purposes, Ovoko/RRR may contact you for additional information.
Q: Will the part be returned to me if a claim is approved?
A: No, faulty parts will not be returned to the sellers.
Q: Will the warranty badge improve search ranking or visibility?
A: The warranty badge is designed to increase buyer trust and improve sales by clearly highlighting protected parts. While search ranking is determined by multiple performance factors, offering additional buyer protection strengthens the overall competitiveness and attractiveness of your listings within the marketplace. Buyers will also have an option to filter for the parts with a warranty.
Q: Can I redirect buyers to Ovoko/RRR if they contact me regarding a warranty that I personally provide (seller warranty)?
A: No. Warranties offered directly by sellers remain the seller’s responsibility. Ovoko/RRR and its partner manage only the Ovoko/RRR 1-Year Warranty issued together with eligible purchases made on the Ovoko/RRR platform. Buyers covered under this program receive specific warranty documentation confirming the applicability of the Ovoko/RRR warranty. If a buyer contacts you regarding a warranty that you independently provide, you should continue managing that process in accordance with your own warranty terms.
