A listing preset bundles the settings that define how a part appears on Allegro: its title structure, description template, and sales policies. Every Allegro listing uses a preset — either the Default Preset or a category-specific one.
Presets are what allow Ovoko to configure listings automatically when you upload parts. Without a completed Default Preset, the Allegro section won't appear in Single Part Upload and bulk publishing won't work. Set the preset up once and every future listing is configured without additional effort.
How presets work
There is always a Default Preset, applied automatically to all categories. It cannot be deleted. Category-specific presets override the Default for the categories you assign them to — everything else uses the Default.
This works the same way as default and category-specific shipping rules.
What a preset contains
Title template — the listing title is assembled from segments you choose and order (for example: Car model, Car year, Part position, Part name). Drag segments to reorder them. A live title preview updates as you make changes. You can also enable uppercase titles. The default title template works for most listings — adjust the segments only if you need a different structure for specific categories. Keep an eye on the title preview — if the generated title exceeds 75 characters, the listing will be rejected by Allegro and won't go live.
Description template — select which description template applies to this preset. If you haven't created one yet, there is a direct link to create a new template from within the preset editor.
- Sales policies — Returns terms and Complaints terms (both required), and Warranty information (optional). These are pulled from your Allegro account. If you haven't created them yet, see How to set up Allegro before listing first.
Creating a category-specific preset
If you want a different title structure, description template, or sales policies for a specific category, create a category-specific preset — otherwise the Default Preset is all you need.
Go to the Listing presets tab and click + Create new preset.
Enter a preset name.
Under Selected categories, choose the part categories this preset applies to.
Build the title template by adding segments and dragging them into the order you want. Check the title preview to confirm how it will appear.
Select a description template. If none exists yet, click Create new template to build one first.
Set the sales policies: Returns terms, Complaints terms, and optionally Warranty information.
Save.
Important to know
The Default Preset cannot be deleted. It ensures every category always has a fallback.
Category-specific presets override the Default for the selected categories only.
Description templates must exist before assigning them. Set up your templates first, then configure presets.
Sales policies come from Allegro. If the dropdowns are empty, configure your returns, complaints, and warranty policies in your Allegro account first.
What if...
Errors say Complaints Terms or Returns Terms were not detected? These are required to complete the Default Preset. Go to Allegro Sales Center and create at least one Complaints Terms and one Returns Terms, then return to finish the preset.
Warranty information shows "Nothing selected" and can't be changed? Warranty is optional, but to use it you need at least one warranty term set up in your Allegro account. Add one in Allegro Sales Center and it will appear in the dropdown.
