Buyers can now submit a price offer directly from your listing. The offer lands in your chat — you decide what happens next.
How it works
- A buyer clicks "Make an Offer" on one of your listings and enters a price.
- The offer appears in chat. If you have email notifications enabled, you'll also receive an email alert.
- You choose one of three options: Accept, Counteroffer, or Decline.
That's it. No settings to configure, no separate tool to learn.
Can you make the first offer? Yes — if a buyer has already opened a chat with you, you can click "Make offer" in the chat menu to send them a price directly, without waiting for them to offer first.
Important to know
Your public price stays unchanged. An accepted price applies to that buyer only — no one else sees it, and your listing price isn't affected.
The part stays on sale. Negotiating doesn't reserve the part. Until the buyer actually pays, any other buyer can purchase it at your original price.
Buyers can offer up to 30% below your listed price. There's no cap on what you counter with.
You respond in chat. Accept, Counteroffer, and Decline buttons appear directly in the offer message — no need to edit your listing or contact the buyer separately.
Not available for parts listed without a price, or for Ovoko PRO sellers who already sell to PRO buyers at a fixed discount through the programme. Learn more about Ovoko PRO. If a negotiation was already in progress when you joined PRO, the last agreed price stays valid — but no new offers can be made.
What if...
Another buyer purchases the part while you're negotiating? The negotiation ends automatically and the offering buyer is notified the part is sold.
You edit your listing price globally? Any pending or accepted offer prices stay unchanged — a global price edit doesn't override individual offer prices already agreed.
The buyer sends an offer but you haven't responded yet? They can't send a second offer until you respond. They'll see a message telling them to wait.
The buyer wants to cancel their offer? They can't — once sent, the offer stays open until you respond.
You accept but the buyer doesn't complete the purchase? Accepting doesn't obligate the buyer. The agreed price stays available to them in chat, but the part remains on sale with the original price to everyone else until payment is made.
