Photographing
1. Near the car dismantling place, provide a place where the parts photography stands will stand. If you want work in the warehouse to take place as efficiently as possible, calculate the time, the fewer steps the worker needs to take to load the parts, the greater the results he will achieve.
2. Get a suitable photography stand for small details, and a photography stand for large parts such as bumpers, and bonnets. Also, don't forget good lighting.
As well for the beginning you could use simple "Photo tent" they are not expensive to buy here is one example: https://www.essentialphoto.co.uk/products/pixapro-75cm-cube-tent |
3. Make sure you have a quality smartphone or tablet to work with the system. Good quality in photos increases the chance of selling parts, because customers will be able to view it more easily in the online store, and the customer will always choose a product that reflects quality. Customers trust such sellers more, which results in more sales. Also, do not forget that the system speed of the device also contributes to the faster work of your employees, which saves time. System works both with android and IOS
When taking photos, take at least 3 photos of small parts such as the ECU. For larger parts, at least 5 photos should be taken. Always photograph the electrical connections in the photos, and if the part has defects, they should also be reflected in the photos, and their status should be marked as "Defective". The part must be visible from all angles so that the customer can examine it in as much detail as possible before buying. If you don't take enough photos, the customer may contact you asking for additional photos, and as a result, you will have to go back to the part, photograph it, and send the photos to the customer, which is just an additional waste of the employee's time. |
4. Protect sensitive goods. Parts that are fragile, such as screens, and mirrors, should be wrapped in bubble wrap before storage, then wrapped in stretch wrap and the product label should be stuck on the package. As a result, the product will not be damaged during storage, and when packing the product, it will already be partially packed. Such goods, which are bought for cosmetic appearance, scratches such as door trim, panel trim, and gear lever trim, should be wrapped in a stretch film so that they are not scratched during storage and when the customer purchases the product, it is not cancelled or returned just because the condition of the product does not match the photos.
5. Get a label printer so that you can mark the parts when you upload them, in this way, they will not get lost in the warehouse and you will be able to separate the parts more easily when they are on the rack. Labels will also help when collecting orders or looking for goods for local trade.
You can buy printers and labels at www.estilita.lt or www.printmark.lt Scan the QR code with your phone
and you will be taken to the e-shop.
As well for the printer, we can offer you a wireless printing solution. A printer accessory, HUB, solves the problem of wireless printing by printing directly from your phone or other device. Just connect it to the internet and print labels from any device. You can contact your manager about this device or write to csm@ovoko.com |
6. Label parts - Labeling in-stock items is essential for efficient inventory management and order fulfilment. This helps with accurate tracking, easy retrieval and reduces the chance of errors in picking and packing. Proper labelling saves time and effort and ensures that the right goods are delivered to the right customers at the right time.
Warehousing
|
Later, when the work is in full swing, try to observe which products are the most bought, and accordingly make adjustments in the warehouse so that the workers need to walk as little as possible to collect the best-selling products.
Try to put smaller items in boxes that correspond to the dimensions of the shelves so that there are no gaps on the shelf, but also so that the items are easy to find, if the items are very small, such as "MAP sensors", do not put 300 units of sensors in one box, divide one large box into 6 or 10 smaller boxes, you will not lose space, and the search for goods will be easier.
Packing/Collecting Orders
Set up a tidy packing area. As close as possible to the place through which you will deliver the orders to the couriers. It is worth setting up the packing area near the door because it will be easier to hand it over to couriers and to customers who come to pick up the goods on the spot. In this way, you will save the employee's time.
Take care of packing materials such as cardboard boxes, stretch film, bubble wrap, and volume filler granules. Also, immediately take care of the materials needed for packing larger goods, such as Pallets, fastening tools to ensure the goods stand on the pallet, and boxes for larger goods such as bumpers, bonnets, and doors. Using the right packaging materials for shipping helps protect the item being damaged when shipped, reduces the risk of loss, and ensures that the package arrives at its destination in good condition. Also, don't forget that the right packaging will leave a good impression on the customer. Purchase warranty stickers for marking goods before shipping.

Collecting orders is a fairly simple step if you are using warehousing solution, after opening the orders section you can print a list of parts that need to be collected. When collecting orders, you should be guided by the system ID of the parts and the ID on the labels. Before shipping, it is important to pack the items properly so that they arrive at their destination in good condition. Also, when packing, you should take some photos of the packing process, so that after seeing what was packed and what materials were used during packing, these photos can be uploaded to the system with the sold part so that you don't have to keep them on your phone. You should also take photos of the product if it is marked with warranty stickers.

- Pack the items tightly in the box to prevent them from shifting or moving during shipping. Use a filler such as corn or crumpled paper to fill in the empty spaces.
- If the shipment exceeds 31.5 KG, such shipment must be transported on a pallet. If you have received an order for an engine or gearbox, make sure that all lubricants and other liquids are drained before shipping. After draining the liquids, seal the holes so that the residue does not seep through the cracks in any way. If the courier services see that you are running away
the liquid shipment will be turned around and returned to you, as a result of which the customer will no longer want to wait for the product for a long time.
