Currently, buyers in another EU country can purchase goods with 0% VAT by entering their VAT code and entering company details at the time of purchase.
In this case, it is the seller's responsibility to ensure that the VAT code is valid.
Currently, our system is linked to VIES, so when the customer enters his company code, it is automatically verified. In some cases, customers enter incorrect information, as a result of which the order is formed with 21% VAT.
In the example below, the customer specified his VAT code as the company name, as a result of which the VIES system did not detect the code and applied 21% VAT. In this case, you need to contact us to cancel the order. If you see the inscription VIES on a red background in the VIES info column, you should check the VAT and Company code in the VIES system.
You can check VAT code at: https://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/vies/
Seeing that the VIES inscription is on a green background in the VIES column, you can pack and send the product without any worries. This indicates that the VIES system successfully recognized the company code entered by the customer.
You can check if VAT code is valid at: https://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/vies/
If you notice that VAT code is not valid (picture below), you should inform Ovoko | RRR.lt team via email help@rrr.lt and such order will be canceled.
If you cancel the order yourself listing will be written off in the system.
